Pale Peaks

Now I know I drooled over Themer for a bit there and then I kinda disappeared, but I'm back with a quick little screen I threw together for Nova Launcher (which has seriously knocked it out of the park with the latest beta updates).

It's nothing too fancy. Two widgets placed on a 8x5 grid (sub-grid enabled) screen, no margins, no shadows, no frills. You might have to tweak it a bit as it's a little hard for me to determine how the sub-grid was used, but you'll know it when you hit the sweet spot.

I also haven't taken advantage of any of my apps (so no auto-scaling) on this screen, just Zooper, Nova, and a little bit of love.

Speaking of love, check out MyColorScreen. I think I threw a screen up there taking advantage of Zooper Do (no files - sorry!). If you do use my any of the Android Workbench apps, feel free to share your creations on the Google+ community or tweet @DroidBench with any ideas, bugs or just plain old random stuff.

Thanks for dropping by!

Oh hey! Didn't see you there...

Hey guys!

Been awhile, eh?

I've been busy. I got a promotion at work, I'm doing this Themer Beta Beta (Beta, beta, beta, beta...) thing, and hey, look at this!

A NEW APP!!!

And check this out!

A screenshot! (Shock and awe!)

...or two...

...so minimal...

...such Zooper...

Well that was a little disappointing...

I could have sworn I took some more. I'd check, but my phone's dead 'til morning.

Oh well...

Did I mention the NEW APP!?

Boom.

Get it? It's a to do list made specifically for Zooper!

...

Zooper.

Do.

...

Anyone?

...

Well I thought it was a catchy name.

Anyway, here it is! I'll post a link here so you can check it out. It's not free, but it'd the first of it's kind (as far as I know). There's no need for any external apps, except Zooper. BTW I hope you guys are still enjoying the Android Workbench and Zooper Counts apps (I'm still taking feature requests - read the review on ZC - I'll listen!) and I sincerely hope you like this new one too.

Thanks for stopping by!
I'll try to come around again a little more often...with more screenshots of course!

...and maybe another NEW APP!!!!

I bet you thought there actually was another new one ;)

Damn I'm clever.

Cheers!

Delicate

So after some time rebuilding the companion app from the ground up I've finally come out with a home screen worth sharing. I've thrown one up here, but that was really just to show I'm not dead or anything.

After some painstaking effort, the companion app has been re-released full of battery optimization and a variety of new apps and Zooper variables to use in your widgets.

Time for a new screen?

Yup.

Plug your headphones in and the media bar appears. Press play and watch the ticker text scroll.

Nova Launcher Prime, 16 x 9, no margins or shadow. Swipe up gesture to access app drawer.

On the top is a 7 x 1 widget that displays the time with an analog clock and digital clock, as well as an analog battery bar and percentage.

Directly below is a 7 x 3 widget that uses the newly added #THDPHN# variable to trigger y-offset through advanced parameters. If the headphones are plugged in, the control appear. Otherwise, they are hidden.

At the very bottom is a 7 x 2 widget with Gmail, Google+ and Hangouts notifications, courtest of the Android workbench companion app.

Just above that is a 7 x 1 widget with a shadowy bar, just because.

All is made possible through Zooper Widget Pro, Media Utilities, Android Workbench (and the AutoNotification Pro Plugin - WITHOUT TASKER!)

Get the templates and resources here.

Please share, +1, comment, tweet it, share it, read it over and over...whatever!
You can follow me on Google+ here, on twitter @DroidBench, or join the Android Workbench community here.
Also, feel free donate, even if it's just a penny. Every little bit counts!
I'll keep building these screens if you keeping loving them!

Thanks for reading guys!

Companion App Updated!

I want to thank everyone for your patience and your support so far. You guys are awesome! I've uploaded a new version my drive with added support for Hello SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and the Google Play Store. You may run into some issues updating and I would recommend uninstalling the current version first before installing the update. I've also begun the process of making it available on the Play Store so you don't need to keep coming here for updates! You should see it up within the next few days (UPDATE: NOW AVAILABLE!!!). Enjoy!

Android Workbench Companion App Updated

So I ran into some memory issues with the previous version, and the toggles seem a little too ambitious at this point. Rather than selecting which apps you'd like to monitor, now it just monitors all of them. Now all that appears is the help screen with the list of all available apps. Since the last release I've added Twitter, but if there's more you would like to see on that list, let me know!

NOW AVAILABLE ON THE PLAY STORE!

Android Workbench Companion App

Hey guys! It's not pretty, it's probably not entirely working, but here it is! The Android Workbench companion app!

Yeah, it's a little bare bones right now, but it should help to make applying my templates a little easier. No more mucking about with the Tasker profiles, uploading or importing. Simply download this app (which unfortunately also requires you to have AutoNotification Pro plugin, Zooper Widget Pro, and Media Utilities...but NO TASKER!!!) and you're good to go! Please note that permissions are only to allow the app to function immediately upon start-up and to count the amount of music files you have in your Music/ directory. Also, until I can manage to scrape together the money to open a developer account on the Play Store (yeah, I'm that broke) you'll have to keep an eye here for updates. To install, you WILL need to allow unknown sources in you security settings (for now). If you have any suggestions for further apps you'd like to see populate your Zooper widgets let me know! I'd be more than happy to make this even more functional and easy for you to not only apply my themes, but create new ones yourself.

*UPDATE* NOW AVAILABLE ON THE PLAY STORE!

Share this with anyone you know who wants to include things like Google+ notifications and more in their widgets. Leave a comment below, or even send me an email with your bug reports, ideas, or suggestions. Thanks for reading! See you next time!
