So after some time rebuilding the companion app from the ground up I've finally come out with a home screen worth sharing. I've thrown one up here, but that was really just to show I'm not dead or anything.
After some painstaking effort, the companion app has been re-released full of battery optimization and a variety of new apps and Zooper variables to use in your widgets.
Time for a new screen?
Yup.
Plug your headphones in and the media bar appears. Press play and watch the ticker text scroll.
Nova Launcher Prime, 16 x 9, no margins or shadow. Swipe up gesture to access app drawer.
On the top is a 7 x 1 widget that displays the time with an analog clock and digital clock, as well as an analog battery bar and percentage.
Directly below is a 7 x 3 widget that uses the newly added #THDPHN# variable to trigger y-offset through advanced parameters. If the headphones are plugged in, the control appear. Otherwise, they are hidden.
At the very bottom is a 7 x 2 widget with Gmail, Google+ and Hangouts notifications, courtest of the Android workbench companion app.
Just above that is a 7 x 1 widget with a shadowy bar, just because.
All is made possible through Zooper Widget Pro, Media Utilities, Android Workbench (and the AutoNotification Pro Plugin - WITHOUT TASKER!)

Faded Grey
This one's just a simple home screen made with Nova Launcher, Zooper Widget Pro and the Android Workbench companion app. Two widgets, each 9 x 8, on a margin-free 16 x 9 screen with no shadows. I realized I didn't mention that I've enabled a swipe-up gesture to open the app drawer in my last post, hence the lack of and app drawer shortcut. I've done the same with this one so there's no need for anything extra; Just nice, clean, and simple.
The text changes colour from the faded #44ffffff to a brighter #aaffffff when you receive a new notification, or when the battery is charging. Of course, the notification information is generated by the Android Workbench companion app, and you simply input the codes #TGMAIL#, #TGPLUS# and #THNGTS#.
Here are the two templates, font and wallpaper.
Give it a try! Feel free to +1, share, comment, or move on over to the Play Store and download the companion app! Thanks for reading!

Android Workbench Companion App
Hey guys! It's not pretty, it's probably not entirely working, but here it is! The Android Workbench companion app!
Yeah, it's a little bare bones right now, but it should help to make applying my templates a little easier. No more mucking about with the Tasker profiles, uploading or importing. Simply download this app (which unfortunately also requires you to have AutoNotification Pro plugin, Zooper Widget Pro, and Media Utilities...but NO TASKER!!!) and you're good to go! Please note that permissions are only to allow the app to function immediately upon start-up and to count the amount of music files you have in your Music/ directory. Also, until I can manage to scrape together the money to open a developer account on the Play Store (yeah, I'm that broke) you'll have to keep an eye here for updates. To install, you WILL need to allow unknown sources in you security settings (for now). If you have any suggestions for further apps you'd like to see populate your Zooper widgets let me know! I'd be more than happy to make this even more functional and easy for you to not only apply my themes, but create new ones yourself.
*UPDATE* NOW AVAILABLE ON THE PLAY STORE!
Share this with anyone you know who wants to include things like Google+ notifications and more in their widgets. Leave a comment below, or even send me an email with your bug reports, ideas, or suggestions. Thanks for reading! See you next time!
