Sand

I suppose I should share the one I made today too, eh?

This one's real simple, soft and sandy.

Sand

Nova Prime, 8 x 5 sub-griddery, no margins or shadows, and Zooper.

Get it here.

As always, feel free to visit MyColorScreen to share some love, or share your screens on my community on Google+. You can also follow me on Twitter, or send me a high five (bucks?) if you're feeling generous.

Regardless, I hope you enjoy.

GPlus

It's Friday!

I posted a home screen up on Google+ the other day, inspired by the new mobile app design. I had seen a few pop up since the new UI overhaul and I figured I try my hand at it myself.

I used Zooper Widget Pro (of course), Nova Launcher Prime with an 8 x 5 grid, sub-grid positioning on, no margins, shadow, or notification bar. The top icons for Gmail, Hangouts and Google+ display counts when you receive notifications (using the Android Workbench companion app) and the To Do list was made using Zooper Do. You may need to fiddle with the scaling a little bit, particularly with the bitmap in the top right, depending on the size of your device's screen and the images you use.

Download the templates and resources here.

As always, thanks for reading! Follow me on Google+, Twitter, or MyColorScreen for more home screen templates and themes!

Blurred Perception

Hello everybody!

I hope you're enjoying this weekend's screens, particularly the auto-scaling of Soft and Serene.

Today's screen is unfortunately not an auto-scaler since Zooper Widget doesn't support rectangle outlines in Advanced Parameters (yet?), so everyone without a 720p device will unfortunately have to scale it themselves.

This screen uses Themer (but any old launcher will do), one Zooper Widget filling the entire screen, and of course, the Android Workbench companion app for the notifications (Zooper Counts works too for those on an Android Version lower than 4.3). You must have Android Workbench/Zooper Counts installed for the notification features to work. For this screen, the Google+ and Hangouts icons will increase in size when there are new notifications waiting for you.

Themer users can download the ZIP file here.

If you're not using Themer, you can download the template and resources here.

Please share, +1, and comment below with any questions, comments or complaints. As always, you can tweet @DroidBench or join the community on Google+ to show off your homescreens, modifications of mine, or leave bug reports or feature requests for the apps.

I couldn't resist.

Happy Star Wars day!

May the fourth be with you!

Soft and Serene

Screen number two for this week is a much more ambitious (and hopefully functional) theme, brought to you by the latest and greatest update to the Android Workbench companion app and the all new Zooper Counts app for devices running lower than Android 4.3 - Automatic Scaling.

Unfortunately I haven't tested this because all I've got is a lowly 720p Motorola RAZR HD (it's still a beast in my book). but those of you with Nexus 5's or Samsung Galaxy...what is it now? 14? I'd appreciate any feedback when applying this theme.

Oh yeah, the screenshot's a GIF. Wow! So excite! Such new!

This one was also created using Themer, so if you're running that you can grab the zip here.

Otherwise - here.

Please share, +1, comment or leave some love on MyColorScreen. Drop me a line in the community or tweet @DroidBench with any bugs, hugs, or shrugs.

There's a donate button too, but I wouldn't recommend you use it. There's a lot of cobwebs on it...

First Contact

After a week of updates and tinkering, this week's screens are finally ready to share. We're taking a bit of a turn from the norm here and moving from Nova Launcher to Themer. I must say, this app, although it took some getting used to the switch from Nova, is a juggernaut. I can easily say this is THE BEST launcher for Android customization. The features are rich, the UI is gorgeous, and the one-tap theming is beyond your wildest dreams. But I digress...

Here is the first of many screens to come - First Contact.

This screen uses one Themer screen with a 9 column 16 row grid, no frills, Zooper, Media Utilities, and Android Workbench (for those with devices running a lower version than 4.3 try Zooper Counts now available in the Play Store).

You can download the templates here - or grab the Themer theme here.

Feel free to share, +1, leave a comment below. Drop on by the community and show off your setups, or tweet @DroidBench with suggestions, ideas, complaints, or just plain old random crap.
